Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the JDRF Run for the Roses Hope Gala at Horton Farms!

Volunteer Opportunities are available pre-event, event night, and post event.

You can volunteer for 1 spot or as many spots as you would like!

Times and details are listed below:

---------------- Pre-Event ----------------


***THURSDAY, MAY 2ND ***

Loading Team
Dress Code:  Casual – please wear good shoes and clothes to load truck and carry boxes
Duties: Loading truck at the JDRF office with all gala items, signs, decorations, auction items, etc.
Time Frame: 1-2 hours
Start Time: 12pm
Location: JDRF Office - 4241 N. Gabel Drive, Suite 3B, Fayetteville
Volunteers Needed: 5 Total


***FRIDAY, MAY 3RD***

Decorating Team
Dress Code:  Casual
Duties: Unloading truck at Horton Farms and assisting with event setup including: Setup of auction items, decorating dining tables, setting up signs, displays, Derby Raffle, staging decorations, etc.
Time Frame: 4-8 hours (2 shifts available)
Start Time: 9am (shift 1) or 1pm (shift 2)
Location: Horton Farms, 15799 Bethlehem Lane, Gravette
Volunteers Needed: 15 Total

***FRIDAY, MAY 3RD***

Flower Team
Dress Code:  Casual
Duties: De-thorning roses, cutting greenery, possibly arranging table flowers, and assisting Flower Lead on making arrangements
Time Frame: 4-8 hours (2 shifts available)
Start Time: 8am (shift 1) or 12pm (shift 2)
Location: Horton Farms, 15799 Bethlehem Lane, Gravette
Volunteers Needed: 10 Total

***SATURDAY, MAY 4TH ***
Dress code: Kentucky Derby Attire – please see “What to Wear” Document below
Duties: Event Volunteers will be helping with one or two the following:

~Registration Worker (5 Needed)
~Bidding Bar Worker (5 Needed)
~Derby Raffle Host/Hostess (2 Needed)
~Ballroom Worker (Live Auction Spotter, Fund A Cure Spotter, Runner) (8 Needed)
~Auction Sorter/Check-out Worker (15 Needed)

Time Frame: 3-9 hours (2 shifts available)
Start Time: 3:00pm
Location: Horton Farms, 15799 Bethlehem Lane, Gravette
Volunteers Needed: 35 Total

---------------- Post-Event ----------------

***MONDAY, MAY 6th***

Clean-Up Team
Dress Code:  Casual
Duties: Cleaning up at Horton Farms (Boxing decorations, tablecloths, packing up auction items that were not picked up, etc), loading truck at Horton Farms and unloading at the JDRF Office in Fayetteville.
Time Frame: 2-4 hours
Start Time: 9am
Location: Horton Farms, 15799 Bethlehem Lane, Gravette  (then drive to) JDRF Office, 4241 N. Gabel Dr, Suite 3B, Fayetteville
Volunteers Needed: 10 Total
